My name is Guan Mingtao
and my English name is Tom. I was born in China in 1986. I graduated from Shu De Middle School and came
to Singapore with a scholarship.
My favorite subject is chemistry and I want to be a skillful chemical engineer in future. I have lots of hobbies, especially
playing the guitar and swimming.
In order to help me to manage basic English skills, Singapore
government provides me the chance to learn English in NIE (National Institute of Education). I was involved in six subjects
and fourteen classes each week. During the course, I got to know that learning English could be easy
if you really concentrate. I learned how to write essay in English, how to talk and chat in English, and how to
ues English in communication. Moreover, I am more familiar with computer skills and become more confident on expressing
my own opinions.
